If i want to describe the sun raise from the sea can i use "horizon"?

can i say it raises from the horizon?

  1. I would say: It rises from the very edge of the world. OR The sun climbs from the sea into the sky. OR if you want to use horizon: As the horizon loses its grasp on it, the sun finally appears.

    Rises ABOVE the horizon.

  4. As the sun rises it rises above the horizon, which is the visible boundary of the sea and sky. This is used by navigators with sextants to sight the angle between the sun and the horizon to determine location at sea.
