If i want to go into clinical immunology, what should my major be for this. also any good colleges for this???

I am B , A- student with lots of extra curricular activities, high level classes and average SAT scores of 1650, if that helps with college suggestions, i am taking a class now so suggestion with expectancy of SATS rising, i have been told pre-med, but im not sure, eventually i want to focus directly on type 1 diabetes

  1. Do you want to do research? If so you would probably want to get your Ph.D in immunology. If you wanted to be a doctor and also do research you can do a combined MD / Ph.D program (very competitive). So you will have to get your bachelor's degree in science and then apply to grad school. I don't know where you live but on the west coast the grad programs are competitive. Med school is incredibly competitive as well and MD / Ph.D programs are even more competitive. Try your hardest to get GOOD grades (3.5 and above) in your undergraduate degree and also get involved in undergraduate research. Make a lot of connections that way so that you have a better shot at the grad school.
