  1. I have a BA in anthropology and I can tell you that there's not a lot out there for an anthropologist with just an undergraduate degree.  However, I'm a big believer in studying what you're interested in.  The job market's about the same for all liberal arts/social science degrees.  However, globalization is increasing the demand for anthropologists.

Whether or not you major in anthropology depends on the school you go to.  I went to a college with an anthropology department, but some schools have anthropology classes under the sociology department.

I love my degree, even though I could have found the same job with an English or art history degree.  Anthropology teaches you how to look at issues from a different perspective and it broadens your mind.
