  1. Apply for jobs in the area you wish to move and explain your situation to the employer when they call to schedule an interview.  Group the interviews as close together as possible then go there for 3-4 days however long is needed to do the interviews.  Get the job and then move.  Thats what I did from Toledo to Atlanta.  Be upfront with the situation never lie always be honest they appreciate that.

  2. Start saving up much money as possible every month. You should rent a room in Nevada, and then try finding a suitable job. Have an idea of what you want to try for. It will take a while to find one, with the economy like it is today.

  3. It depends on what you're degree is in? Some professions like teaching are paying large signing bonuses for teachers to move there. You also need to think about the cost of living. Housing in Nevada is typically higher than Minnesota. Thus you would need a higher income and some money saved before making the transition. It may be to your benefit to take a week or two and go there and spread your resume around. Then go back home and wait for some response. I would make sure I had a sure thing before I would risk an expensive move.
