I have always wanted to act but have never even tried. What are some things I can do to try and get auditions for movie parts? Where do I go and who would I contact?

  1. No one ensures you success (only scammers!). And even more, you have to define “success”. First, make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. If you want to be "famous" to make money, you should differentiate that being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. Be professional. Fame is something that can or cannot be there, but at least you will do what nurture you. Best of luck.

  2. You MUST start small otherwise noone in Hollywood will even look at you. Consider acting courses and community theater. The world of Performing Arts is much smaller than you would think so when a director gets a hold of someone with talent they won't let go and they will pass them around. I've also had friends whom were discovered by talent scouts sitting in the audience of a community theater production (but be careful for the scammers)! I would also think about taking singing lessons because a lot of community theater requires voice (boys definitely have the advantage in this business just so you know). Continue to go on auditions and try to land an agent that you trust completely and have done much research on...after all, your career practically depends on this person's ability. I wish you the best of luck and don't let anybody get you down or hold you back!

  3. well. to start off u should first attend an acting school. from then on your teachers can recomend u to a casting call. or you can move to la and search for an auditioning roll.
