  1. Well, first you have to be talented, pretty, and intelligent, most people that are famous happen to be there because they've worked really hard for it, success doesn't happen overnight, it needs lots of sacrifices.

  2. Start with acting classes and lots of plays. Then you could try to get into some student films, independent films, and maybe an extra in a film. This will give you a great rounded beginning. Get professional headshots when you've decided you're serious or when the time comes that things you're auditioning for need professional ones. Write up your resume whenever an audition comes that requires you to bring one. You can google acting resume if you're not sure how to write one out.

Then you can send your headshot and resume to agencies, and the agencies can get you auditions for movies. Your first movie will likely be a very small role, but if you act professionally, the crew on the set (like the director, casting director, producer) can refer your name to other directors, cd, and producers. You'll get a good rep and people will be more likely to hire you, which would be how you'd make yourself known for better, bigger roles in movies. You just have to get in there.

go to http://www.sag.org/node/667 to find agencies near you!

    Good Luck

  3. Okay, you have the right mindset and you are in pretty much the perfect age range for wanting to become an actor :D

So what you have to start out with is this...

    1) Get into the drama class at your school immediately

    2) Drop by your public library and pick up 3-4 books on acting (and read them all ! but don't stop there, keep getting more and more books:)

    3) Audition for all, and every performance venue at your school. (the more experience you get, the better!)

    4) Swing by a local community college and take a couple acting classes

    5) start memorizing and working on (extensively) audition monologues

    6) Audition for all of your local community theatre, and church performances etc...

    7) Talk to your parents (if you feel you are a strong enough performer, and if you like acting) about helping you achieve a career in acting.

    8) Get some headshots done (nothing too expensive or flashy, just something clean and professional)

    9) Find and audition for nearly all SAG or AFTRA approved talent agencies

9 1/2) If you don't want an agent, you can always audition at cattle calls, showcases, or talent searches

    10) and remember... ACTING IS A VERY ROCKY CAREER CHOICE :D be ready for lots of rejection, criticism, hard work, and perseverance

but you can do it!! ^.^
