should i keep my original A-level's of: Maths, Economics, Spanish & Chemistry. Or should i do: Maths Spanish Chemistry Biology.

This is to get into top top unis like LSE and oxbridge and UCL by the way.

Becoz I'm not sure whether not doin Economics would put me at a disadvantage when doin an Economics Degree

  1. Forget about the financial field.  It is too volitile.  Go for medical, you will never be out of a job.

  2. I'd go with your second option

Economics A level isn't an essential requirement for econmics in top univerisities, as they'll teach you from scratch in your first year, it can be advantageous however as it gives you useful information for interviews etc, but this knowlegde can be gained from reading good econmic books and the Economist journal.

NB: Maths is important to have for Top economic courses.

Biology A level is essential in most medical course, at least till AS level, and a lot of medicine applicants will have biology under there belt.  Though its good to have a different selection from the norm of all 3 sciences and maths, you already have that by doing Spanish.

Also check the seperate university prospectus's/websites for there requirements, there very clear on what they want.
