If i buy a newish car can i pay off monthly? What is the minimum you can pay for a car monthly? do you have to put a big deposit on it first? The car would be 4 years old and i would be buying it from a showroom... Is this possible to pay £100 a month or not?

  1. Try your bank for a loan.

Or have a look here... http://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans/

    Good luck

  2. You can afford a car when you can pay cash for it.  Otherwise, you're a slave to the bank, and at risk of financial disaster.

For example, my friend had to pay $4000 to put a new engine into his minivan that he owed $8000 on.  He could have just bought another used car for $4000 instead.

  3. If you borrow to pay for the car it will cost a lot more than than the purchase price.

I recommend buying a cheap car and when the housing market reaches rock bottom get on the property ladder instead!.

    Good luck.

  4. the max car credit is probably 6-7 years
