If i was to study botany...?

If i was to study botany would that be considered an science? Would i have to get my science associates?

  2. Take biology and math electives in high school and participate in science fairs, if possible. Working part-time at a plant nursery can also be excellent preparation for college botany courses.

  3. Doing Botany is a good idea , but with my experience I feel that either you should take Bio- or any sub-course with chemistry. Becoz I faced some problems of being a botany student. I am not discouraging you. You have to develop your knowledge with major s like- Bio-chemistry, Micro-biology etc............

Yes, botany is a science; the science of plants.  Whether or not you will need a science associates depends on the program you are entering.  You will probably have to take some general biology courses, possibly some agronomy and horticulture, and depending on how far you want to go, probably a soil science, a chemistry and maybe a biochemistry course (most likely required for BS degrees)
