If i went on holiday for a few months...?

...and bought a car instead of renting one, what else would i have to do? Tax? Insurance? MOT? Etc?

This would be in Canada/ or the USA by the way.

  1. Tax it, insure it and comply with local state regulations on vehicle testing. Your UK driving licence (both parts required) is valid for a maximum of 12 months as a visitor in either country

    PS remember to take proof of your UK no claims discount for the insurance over there
