  4. I've heard that there is a spider who lives in the toilets!!

  5. well i live here and u don't really ever see huge spiders.

i see smallish ones everyday but the only time you would see a huge one is if u were in the bush or zoo!

btw ignore what people say about cities being bug & snake free cos there is more snakes, bugs, spiders etc there

don't worry the chances of you getting bitten are so small - ive lived here all my life and ive never had a snake or spider bite

also you won't see kangaroos hopping around the city streets you have to go out of the city maybe 50-100 km ( towards the bush not another large town) and there will be tonnes there and be prepared for seeing them hit on the side of the motorway its so sad but happens alot

  6. Some statistician/iologist once said that you are never more than 20 metres away from a spider the size of your eye.

However, since spiders are usually timid and afraid of people, they hide beneath floors and outside, and are only seen when they wander out by accident, or are trying to find a mate (this happens in September in Britain).

I suppose you aren't any likelier to find a sspider in Australia than anywhere else in the world.

  7. It all depends on where you go, when you're in Australia. Downtown Melbourn for shopping and dining and amusement parks, Not so likely

If you go to a Zoo, hiking, camping or anything of the sort, its a whole lot more likely. I hate spiders. I know theyre good and all but they scare the h**l outta me and I live in California we have a fair amount of that

  8. you have a pretty good chance of seeing a huntsman, theyre huge, like dinnerplate size

  9. none but you will probably see kangeroos

  10. Pretty good.

  11. it is not the big ones that do the harm its the little beggars like the "red back", the" funnel web" both tiny, but the Australian's don't like them either so they get in the pest control and kill them,

  12. High i'd say if your going there for a bit. We had some HUGE hairy thing on our door for a couple of days. Was not pleasant but came home one day and it was gone....which freaked me out even more as i was sure it had gone into the house.

Edit: yeah butch is right - the one we had was harmless apparently according to the neighbours. Its just the little ones, crocks, jellyfish, stone fish, snakes, you need to look out for. If it moves it can probably kill you. Good country tho...have fun

  13. Probably quite a big chance, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, they wont be inside with you if you keep the windows shut etc! Just gotta be careful! You see spiders everywhere, so it wont be any different!
