if i went to ireland for sophomore year would i have to repeat it when i come back to america next year?my friend lives there and i want to spend the year there for high school but i heard i might have to repeat the year again when i come back..is this true?!helpp..thanks

I think it would be best for you to contact your local school district and ask this question.  They would probably want you to bring back accurate records of your school work in Ireland.  they could possibly want you to take a standardized test before entering 11th grade to be sure you are ready.  Many students study abroad for a year, so seems like this shoud not be a problem, but do ask your own school district.  Also, get it in writing, signed by the appropriate person at the school district...to be sure  they don't give you a hard time about it later.  Good luck...sounds like it could be a great year for you.
