Would my clone have my same memories or would this basically be a baby, with my entire gentic makeup??

p.s. is an exact clone of a persons given 'state' even theoretically possible?

  1. I would have to say, no.  As far as I understand memory formation, it does not change your genetic make up.  Cells can be cloned, that doesn't include biochemical state.

    You're getting a star.  :)

  2. No,your clone would not be the same.Your own life experience has shaped you.Our clone could never have the same life experiences, thus he would be very different.

  3. Its difficult to say; but you have to remember- if you were to be cloned; the clone would develop from a cell- just like you did.  The clone wouldn't simply be a copy of you, as you are right now.

  4. maybe

    you can experiment

    and then let us no=]

  5. Unfortunately(?), current cloning techniques can only take your genetic material from a body cell (not a s*x one) and essentially fertilize yourself. It's more like you impregnating yourself: The result actually will be genetically identical to you, but that's it. Due to the shortened telomeres it would be like your inferior twin.

As you might know, twins can differ significantly from each other.

  6. No the BABY, will be born from a woman, who would have received your genetically identical embryo. It would grow up normally without any knowledge of you, unless it was told of it's heritage.
