  1. I dont see why it wouldn't. It is a freshwater fish and as long as you get some de-chlor or something to take the chemicals we add to water out I think it should be okay. Also remember they are a carnivorous species so you will have to feed it a live diet. In other words, I dont think the water as much as its diet will be the reason it may not survive. Especially if it is a darter which feed off the aquatic insect larvae and other small organisms they find in its natural waters.

  2. as long as you keep your aquarium clean and safe. they're just both fresh water:)

  3. If you were the little fish, swimming in that great big pond.

Would you want to be put in a very small bowl. That I

    would very soon outgrow. <}:-{(

  4. Taking the fish out of its natural enviorment could stress the poor bugger out and kill him. Not all fish that are freshwater in natural freshwater surroundings do well being brought into captivity, they will be confused and probably refuse to eat, thus starvation will happen. I wouldn't like it if someone plucked me out of my habitat and put me in a confining tank of such a small size compared to the "mansion" that I was in....I'd be pi**ed as holy he**!!

  5. Perch can live in a aquarium but if its only 10 gallon it might be a little small. The biggest problem is getting it to eat fish food, if you put it in a cycled tank and you can't get it to eat after a week then just let it go.

  6. I had a trout for a few weeks. Perch would be similar. They won't live without running water with lots of oxygen in it. You would need a pond with a waterfall type feature.

  7. you will be killing the poor thing with kindness :(
