Question:

If i were to fly to china what time would i want to leave

to feel less like there is a big difference in time zones? is there even any time i could leave to not feel this difference so much?

  1. no matter what time you go it will still be the future day.


  2. You're still going to feel the effects.  

    One thing I do before crossing a lot of time zones is try to reset my internal clock 3-4 days before leaving.  When going east, I go to bed earlier and get up earlier each day, until on the day of departure I'm actually getting up at midnight.  

    Going west, the lag isn't as intense, but if you use the "reset" technique, go to bed later and get up later, if possible, until the day of departure you're going to bed around 4 in the morning.  (Obviously, this would mean having an afternoon or evening departure.)

  4. leave everything that has a clock or the curent time in the states or wherever you're traveling from. of course, if you have a cell or an ipod, just look up the time in china online and set it to that time and try not to look at the time at all.
