If i were to instal solar panels on my home..?

A-how much would it cost(ballpark estimate)

B-how long would it take to cover the initial cost of instilation (whenever i start getting free electricity compared to if i had been paying the electric company)

btw i live in arizona so i get plenty of sunshine =D

  1. 15-25K is about right.  The economics depend a lot on specifics like rebates, tax incentives, etc.

    You don't rewire your house.  The unit has a box inside that handles the connection and simply connects up to your existing wiring.  It's not particularly hard, although it's not a do-it-yourself job.

    You need to get in touch with a local firm to get good information.


  2. really that is hard to do because you have to rewire your house... basically i don't know the ballpark price but you wouldn't be living in your house for awhile...

    the best way to do this would to make a new house with solar power in it already...

    its hard to just add solar power to your house.
