Question:

If i were to sell quad parts such as a-arms etc...?

What would i have to do to be able to sell those parts. obviously i would put them through rigorous testing. but after i have a finished product, what are the next steps to sell them?

  1. I'm assuming you're talking about manufacturing and selling parts not just selling used parts.

    You're right about the testing part, if your parts suck no one will buy them. Now once you have a product that is good set up a website to sell parts, you will probably need a warehouse or at least a big garage to store parts before shipping. You'll either have to take care of all the shipping needs yourself or hire someone. Once you have a means of selling and delivering the product begin advertising. Send products to magazines like Dirt Wheels, Quad, ATV Rider, etc. Magazine tests are a great way for people to see your product and a positive review will help bring in business.

    Once your business begins to grow think about contacting a distributor, Tucker Rocky, Parts Unlimited, or any number of other and try to see if they will carry your product, this makes your product more visible to more people.

    You're best bet when it comes to making parts and being successful is to fill a gap somewhere. Provide something to people no other company is.
