  1. First of all it depends which airport your flying into Shannon or Dublin, If shannon I would head to Galway first and explore the city, then Iwould either head North to Donegal driving along the the coast and into Portstewart or Portrush--make sure you drive the coast as there is great scenery--If you go to the Port's just be aware that you will be in Northern Ireland and will have to change your money from Euro's to Sterling (British Pound's)  AND NO it's not dangerous...If you head south I would head Straight for KIllarney (about two Hour Drive) and go to all the local bars ...just ask at the place your staying and they will send you in the right direction.....If you fly into Dublin I would head towards Killkenny and check out the castle and then head south  towards Waterford and Wexford adn then onto Killareney and Dingle

  2. There are so many beautiful places!  I'd recommend spending more time on the west coast than anywhere else.  Galway, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry.  Dublin is pretty much just another big city.  I hear Kinsale near Cork is pretty.

  3. Galway was my favorite city.

My mother and I spent a week in Ireland about 7 yrs ago.  We rented a car out of Shannon and just drove all over the country with no set plan.  We had a great book of bed & breakfasts (they're EVERYWHERE over there!!) and just picked our next spot the day before.

  4. Hi,

depends really on how much time you have to spend. Must sees are:

    Dublin

    Galway

    Cork

    Belfast

Personally I would hire a car as its the best way to get around.

As regards sights be sure to see The Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Connemara in Galway and check out Kinsale in County Cork. The ring of Kerry close to Killarney is also spectacular.

As regards where to stay have a look at http://www.irishaccommodationguide.com which offers over 9000 properties of all types in every part of Ireland. This site also offers car rental.

    Good luck and enjoy Ireland!

  5. dont miss dingle in sw , ennis is very quaint , like many irish towns and of course killarney . the ring of kerry , the cliffs of mohar and the waterford factory are a few sights to see

  6. Ireland is pretty small so I imagine you be able to visit a lot of cities.  Dublin, Galway, Killkenny, Kilarney are all pretty cool.  Also for scenery Co Sligo near the cost I think the area is called Ross's Point.  Happy traveling
