It depends on the restrictions of your ticket. You can inquire on the airline because some tickets are non refundable for partially used ticket or it is a discounted promo fare.

Probably not unless you bought a refundable ticket.. Those tickets usually have higher prices.. The most that you can do is to cancel the flight and get a credit for the ticket.. The credit can only be redeemed when you fly again with the same airlines.. The credit will basically be applied to the amount of fare your next ticket would be and then you can jut pay the difference if any or if the price of the ticket is less than your credit, you'll just have that extra credit when you purchase a ticket again.. There's usually a fee when you re-book a flight so that will be deducted from your credit.. Remember that you only have a year to do that for most airlines.. You will basically forfeit your credit if you don't use it within the alloted time..

The best you can do now is find out if your ticket is refundable or non-refundable by calling the airlines..

It'll depend on your ticket restrictions. If its a Refundable Ticket...then I dont think it'll be a problem.

Try to contact the airline company to inquire how it'll work. If you bought your ticket through a travel agency, maybe you may need to call them too so you can have better chances of getting your money back. It's quite a long procedure and you might not be able to get it in full...but its worth the try.
