I would avoid asking for a "sausage fest," but it depends on where and when you are. Ask the local regional tourist office, but the entire country is going to be a party.

If you go to Germany go to the beergartens.They are all over the place and one could get the best beer and sausage around. They are selling that stuff all over the place. If you end up in Munich since that is where the worldcup is taking place, that is the best place for the beer and sausage. It's kind of like a festival everyday in munich!
