It depends on the wish.  For example, if you wish that you live long enough to take another breath, it will probably come true.  And if it doesn't, maybe it doesn't matter any more.

When i'm looking through my telescope, and see a star, it's often a double star.  I'm wishing that if i use my high powered eyepiece, that i'll be able to split it.  Most of the time, i get my wish.

A wish of any kind...is just a state of mind...and anything that seems to happen because of it...is merely a coincidence.

There is no basis in fact for wishes to come true.
