At $8.00 an hour and your working 40 a week, I believe that is $640.00 minus taxes and if you receive any medical benefits subtract that amount. they take out a total of $270.00 out of my paycheck every 2 weeks for taxes and benefits

80 hours x $8 = $640

Take approx 20% for taxes...subtract $128

You should get around $512 on you check.

That is only $256 a week to live on.  I don't know how you could do that.  However, if you are not paying rent, utilities, etc. you might be OK.  Depending on your situation, you may need to find something better.

$640 every 2 weeks is not good at all. thats only 1280 a month and thats only 15360 a year. the average person needs ATLEAST 20,000 a year and thats bare minimum. i guess it really depends how old you are. if you're older than 18...then you're screwed!
