I just recently cought this kitten from the streets and it got used to humans around. However my mother wont let it get used to the family unless it gets its shots so i would like to know how much shots cost with and without insurance and how would get a hold of the insurance to begin with!

  1. The insurance with the ASPCA will usually make you pay $100 before they cover anything - per visit. It's also a refund that you get back, so you pay everything out of pocket first, then get your $ back, minus $100.

From what I've seen in my area - Northwest Florida - it runs about $350-$450 for all the kitten shots, including spay/neuter. I have a 3 mo. old kitten, so it's pretty current on prices.

    Hope it helped!

  2. Due is absolutely right..call your local humane society  or vets office..ive also seen the  ads for reduced cost vaccinations at a local feed store  so try there if you cant get answers form the other two...a couple years ago i got my cat vaccinated there for 15 dollars and that was all shots .

Thanks for offering the kitten a loving home  and good luck :)

  3. Prices at my vet:

    shots-$22

    Worming w/fecal exam-$15

    Spay-$45

    neuter-$40

Flea treatment-$13 for one time, $49 for 3 months of Frontline

    FIV/FeLV test-$35.

    Rabies-$10

Ear Mite exam and treatment: $12

Call around to different vets and clinics for best prices.

  4. depending on where you are, most humane societies/shelters have clinics that you can visit where they do exams/shots for WAY reduced rates. i would call them and inquire if they offer this, and if they don't they can probably refer you to someone who does. most towns have at least one place that offers this. you are to be commended for rescuing the poor kitten and let your mom know that the only shot you really HAVE to have is rabies. but it's a good idea to get the kitten looked at just to be sure it's entirely healthy. Good luck and again, thanks for rescuing the kitty. you're a good person!!!

  5. First off tell your mom the best and most loving cats tend to be the "wild" feral kittens! Then its just a trip to the nearest Petco for shots! Luv My Pets does a low cost vaccination clinic that makes its way around to Petco stores!

The Kitten pack is $41.00 for

    4 in 1 (FVRCPC Vaccines)

    Feline Leukemia

    Round/Hookworm Dewormer

    Rabies shot is $15.00

Rabies vaccinations should be given at 12 or 16 weeks (according to state law)

You can check their website for date and time that they will be doing the clinic at your Petco! Just click Clinic Locations.
