They would be genetically the same as brothers/sister(depending on if they were both boys or girls or boy/girl), but they would have different fathers, but their fathers would be the same genetically, so would they be brothers/sister genetically.

(Arrested Development fans think of Buster, he was fathered by George Sr.'s identical twin brother Oscar, so does that make him Micheal's 1/2 brother or not? Thats what go tme started on this)

  1. Ask Jerry Springer,he knows alot about this topic.

  2. half brothers and sisters

  3. If two boys share a parent, they are half-brothers.  And if the fathers of each child are brothers, the children are 1st cousins.  Per the definition of brothers, they would have to share common parents.  It's so unusual for half-brothers to be children of identical twins that the definition doesn't even account for it.  Genetically, they should be full brothers.  But per the definition, they're half-brothers.

  4. Siblings that share the same (set of) parents are brothers and/or sisters (or brothers and sisters.)

Siblings that share one parent are half siblings (half-brother, half-sister.)

A child born into the (same mother) situation you describe would be a half-sibling to their father's other child.  Their half-sibling's father would be their uncle.  Their father would be their half-sibling's uncle.

By the way, identical twins do not share the exact same DNA.  The term "identical twins" was coined ages ago (pre-DNA-discovery) to refer to a set of twins that look alike.

  5. Frankly speaking the mother knows well who is the father of the kids.  Generally, we born free and we know mother only.  it is the mother who introduces a man and telling the kid that he is your father.  so, we know our father only knowing from the mother.  Though, as per your arguments, persons may differ but mother is one.  why you leave the mother and ask for their fathers.  The kids came from the stomach of the same mother.  No doubt they are brothers and sisters and not half brother or half sisters. This is a simple matter.  how the kids call their mother ? if the kids call their mother as ''mom''. then they are brothers and sisters only.  Leave the men. who bother about them.  when the kids born to the same mother, they are brothers and sisters only. no doubt about it.

  6. they would be half because the physical father is different

but if they had a blood test you wouldnt be able to tell which dad belonged to which ever kid

they would appear to be full brother sister

  7. Legally, they are half siblings.

  8. 1/2 brothers/sisters as well as cousins... weird.  their genes would be the same, but the twins are still two different people.

  9. Great question by the way! But they would be half because it's 2 different people..But I wonder what that would be like if they did some kind of a test!

  10. Identical twins have the same DNA ( I saw a special about that just the other night)..therefore they would have the same DNA from Mother and Father. So brother and sister.

  11. You aren't talking about DNA matching here, you are talking about social relationships. The children would be half brothers/sisters/

  12. they are half brothers/sisters.
