If illegal aliens can just come on vacation and not leave why do any sneak across the border?

Conservatives often say we need to secure our border and liberals respond that it wouldn't help because many illegal aliens just overstay their visas. If it was that easy, then why do illegal aliens pay the coyotes thousands of dollars to sneak them across the border?

They cannot just come on vacation. The criteria is very strict to just get a visitor Visa. You must prove your intent to return like money in the bank. Sometimes people can't qualify. The people crossing are not the ones paying the coyotes, it is usually the friends and relatives already in the US who pay.
