If im 16 can I buy a pistol from a seller at a gun show in VT?

It isn't legal for a 16 year old to buy any firearm from anyone in the USA. You may be able to use one under parental supervision, but that's about it.

individual states have laws regarding sales between individuals

Considering that VT has a reputation for allowing perverts to molest their kids, they may also let people sell firearms to their kids

In the meantime, save up your money, read up on safety, function and technique. Nothing worse than turning 21 and buying a Jennings 22 because it looks cool but can't fire one bullet without jamming.

First off you're research is flawed

The site you send us to refers to sales to people under 21

I only point this out to show the underhanded tactics of the Brady Bunch in referring to any one under 21 as a juvenile

However you are correct (everyone take note)

In Vermont it is legal for a 16 year old to own a handgun and buy one in a private deal

That's why Vermont has the highest murder rate in the country, oh wait that's wrong isn't it

Federal does not say that you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun

It simply says that a federally licensed dealer can not sell you one

The state is free to set the legal limit they see fit

How many times do you have to be corrected on this

Please provide a link to the FEDERAL law that makes OWNERSHIP of a handgun illegal at 16 or 18 orr anything under 21
