If im a hooker in jv rugby do i need a scrum cap?

Ive heard of cauliflower ear and i definitely don't want it but i might be starting hooker for only one game and i want to know if i need a scrum cap.

A skull cap is not required. It can be worn to protect your ears if you choose. If you don't play the position regularly don't bother.

If you watch a game of League you won't see many caps.

The only people that really need a scrum cap are the locks, they are the one that do the most ear scrunching so no worries for you. Expecially if you are only playing one game, you probably wont get cauliflower ear from only that. If you do see your ears getting all bent out of shape though, which i doubt, another solution would be to tape them back. ALOT of college guys do this....we are all poor so buying a scrum cap is a little bit of a luxury item haha. Good luck on the pitches mate.

you dont need one there pretty much used to keep your ears from getting pulled it would help but you dont need one they dont do much anyway there very thin

1) its high school JV rugby you shouldnt be to worried

2) they really look g*y...
