  1. take it. your open. unless, of course, you have an open teammate down low where you can pass to, then pass it. his percentage of making the shot is higher compared to yours. if you don't have, just take it. they won't mind you taking an open shot.

if you want to impress your coach and not let your friend down, then make plays for your friend. try slashing to the hoop and making the inside defenders commit to you, and then pass the ball to an open guy. that way you coach will know that your not just a slasher, but also a passer.

  2. if you are hot in that game sure why not

but the point of basketball is really winning

if a player is a ball hugger but he wins games by taking many shots is ok

the purpose of team playing is to win easy by sharing the ball to the open teammate., so you can take as many shots as you are given if you have the hot hand and are wide open. hint if u know you don't got it in any certain game don't shoot unless they 're lay ups don't be optimistic be realistic.

  3. Take the best option if you're open for the shot take it

  4. Take the shot. If as you say you're open you should take it. If you risk passing the ball and there is a turn over thats a 4 point turn around. If your friend is in the open to then it is good to bring them into the game, but don't sacrifice your game or your teams chances by feeling you have to pass to friends... I was also tought tatwhen you play you don't have friends you have team mates, and what happens on court shouldn't effect your friendship.

    Hope that helps.

  5. Just pass it 2 be unselfish but if the game is close, shoot the open jumper but if u already know u lost or won pass it to ur teammate

  6. help your friend at towards the beginning of the game if you are feeling a little off with you shot or how ever you score. but when it gets to the second half do it yourself because you obviously make a higher percentage of shots if he has 0 points and you should want to win. so you need to shoot

  7. shoot it. the h**l with your friend.

chicks dig the man with the points, not who dishes the rock.

    hypothetically speaking.

  8. if he is open then yeah for sure. but if he is covered and is not open dont pass to him. always play like you are down by 5, otherwise sooner or later you will be down. Dont get lazy and play smart.

  9. You don't wanna look like ball hog to ... so draw the defenders to you then pass it to your teammates

  10. that's bullshit, if you have an open shot take it, you can't pass up an open shot cause you feel sorry for your friend, he's prolly not even open if you'[re open...however, if you're doubled or for whatever reason, he's open, then pass him the ball, the object of the game is to get the ball in the net, open shots are good

  11. if you want to show off, take the shot.  If you value your friend more, pass it.

  12. Take the ball to the basket, that way you will attract the defense, then kick out the ball outside or drop pass to your big guy... your coach will be impressed because you are aggressive even though you are already scoring big...

  13. shoot the ball if i might add a fade away to the left would be impressive

  14. Take the shot if you're open. Just take it. You will be sorry if you pass up an open shot and then you teammate ended up having to throw up a desperation shot to beat the shock clock.

  15. Are you playing a 2 on 2 game, if so then think abut this if your friend has an easy lay up then pass. If the only way to score is by you then take the shot
