  1. 60-70% of your body's daily calorie burn is going to be in your BMR, or Basal Metabolic Rate. This has little to do with cardio exercise, as it is simply the calories your body needs to keep you and all of your tissues (brain, heart, lungs, skeletal muscle) alive. The best way to increase BMR is to strength train- basically, lifting weights or doing body weight exercises, like push ups and pull ups.

    After you have your maintenance calories, remember that there are about 3500 calories in a pound of fat. So if you go 500 calories per day below maintenance, you will lose a pound of fat per week (7*5= 3500), a good rate, as long as you are counting calories accurately.

  3. pretty much as much as you want because your body burns about 1200-1300 calories a day just by sitting, waling around, sleeping etc. That is how you burn more calories then you take in and that makes you lose weight. So if you eat less then 2000 calories a day then you should lose weight.

  4. for dieting females it is normally reccomended to eat 1500 calories but if you're doing that much excercise it wouldn't be recomended
