If im college student living on my own, unemployed will i be able to receive public assistance of any kind?

I should be getting a job soon through my school but im not positive of it

  1. Maybe. I would attempt at finding a job though...it's a better use of your time. In the meantime, donating plasma will pay you about $160/mth.

  3. i dont think so either, there are many college kids who dont have a job, the gov't couldnt support them all.

  4. I know you say that you're living on your own, but unless you are a ward of the state or over a certain age, then your parent's financial information still needs to be provided. You probably will not be able to qualify for public assistance, but it doesn't hurt to try. The worse they can say is no.

  6. I am a college student, was unemployed a couple months ago and went for a dr appt and they ran my name on some computer thing which found out I am on public aid. Not sure how that happened but I took it! lol Look into that.
