If im not on the polcy of the insurance and total the car what will the insurance company do?

depends on the policy. just because you arent on it doesnt necessarly mean you are not covered. read the policy

If you were driving the car with the owners permission, they would pay the owner the fair market value for the car.  Why?  Do you plan to borrow and total someones car?

If you don't have regular access to the keys, and were operating with the owners permission it will be covered, less the deductible.

If you have regular access to the keys, it will likely be denied as insurance companies usually require you be either included or excluded on the policy.

In the USA,  With rare exceptions, if you drive an insured car, have permission to drive that car and have a valid drivers license, you are covered.
