If im taken off my family's car insurance before i go to court will insurance still increase?

I recieved 2 speeding tickets in 2 weeks adding up to 10 points in nys. If im taken off the insurance now, will the policy increase for everyone else in 2-3 months when i go to court and am found guilty?

Those violations follow you, so whenever (before or after court) you get off the policy, the premium will go down. With that said, the premium won't increase anyway until the policy renews.

You best bet is to stay on the policy until it renews, than find your own coverage.

Probably not because your insurance might not find out about for months.  They run driving records every so often and usually court records take some time to transfer to your drivng record.

I suggest pleading not guilty to see if you can get the points knocked down a bit.

If you are found guilty of the ticket your insurance will see it, premiums will then be raised. Even if you are put on supervision. Thats what my insurer has done before. Good Luck in court though!
