  1. Take them all.  Your bag might seem heavy the first time out, but after doing it a few times you will get stronger and not even notice it.

  2. The maximum allowed at one time is 14 clubs, but you don't need to take every club. If you only use (for example) a driver, an 9 iron, a 7 iron, a 5 iron and a putter, then just take those.

Just make sure you don't leave your bag short of a club you needed and didn't bring!

    Good luck

  3. One advantage for taking fewer clubs ; You will have to devise shots with half and 3/4 swings, cut shots and low skimmers . This increases your arsenal and offers various alternatives for accomplishing your goals. Case in point years ago when I caddied the club champion ( one of the area's better golfers) carried a 2 wood, 2,5,7,9 irons and putter in a cloth Sunday bag and manufactured shots which were a sight to behold. He played at scratch.

  4. putter,5 iron,and five wood...

  5. take them all, and rent a pull cart.

  6. It's up to you as to what you take, as long as you don't exceed the 14 club legal limit.  When I was a little younger than you, I had a set of clubs with a 3 Wood, 5, 7, and 9 Iron, and a putter, and it worked fine, plus it gives you a better feel for playing different types of shots with different clubs.

Personally, I feel if you've got a good bag for walking -- with a good two-shoulder harness, carrying the full set is no real issue.
