Who says that intellectualism is the end all to everything? Your question ASSUMES that one has to be stupid to believe in God.

I know alot of stupid people AND smart people , and each of them is responsible to GOD for whether or not they take Him at His Word. Intellect has NOTHING to do with anything.

I am a ex-atheist who is now a christian.  I personally can't say exactly what at the exact moment that made me accept the Lord as my savior.  It was like this weird feeling.

I was a pretty staunch atheist.  I believed that religion was a crutch for the weak minded and delusional idiots.  

I decided to see exact why hundreds of millions of people were complete dummies for believing in such a ludicrous idea.  When I watched creationist videos I started seeing some of the really good arguments posted by creationist.  The evolutionist looked liked a bunch of third grade debaters compared to them.

The love of God is something that you have to feel.  You can't get it by reading a textbook or using scientific inquiry.  You get it through your heart.
