If internet bandwidth was limited by routers alone what would the average end user speed be?

If by some magic the cables between pcs, switches and routers had no bandwidth limit where would the internet bottleneck be and what sort of transmission speeds would the end users experience?

The bottleneck would hit the internet servers. Hard drives, CPUs and RAM would have to increase to support the load of unlimited network access.
