  1. It is not OK to ban books at all

  2. Books are nothing but trouble. The peasants start to read, and next thing you know, they've learned facts! How is a man supposed to keep his serfs in line when they know things?

  3. According to you atheists The Bible should be banned

  4. Banning books is just another way to limit free will, free thinking and personal knowledge. Further proof that fundies want to take over and turn the country into a totalitarian state. 1984 is coming ever nearer!

  5. Why stop at books?  Let's ban words, h**l let's ban hand gestures and body language.  Let's ban thought too, because I can't be sure people aren't communicating telepathically

Pay no attention to Ogo, a few days ago he was convinced that atheists didn't exist.

  6. No books.  Books are nothing but trouble.  We should all quit our jobs and sit in our little dungeon-like apartments and houses, playing Warcraft or Madden all day every day.

  7. Yes, all books should be banned because people might read and understand that they have a choice.

    How can that be good?

  8. Perhaps it is wrong to actually ban books just because someone's religious beliefs are offended by them. However, someone with strong religious beliefs should never be forced to read certain books which offend them.

There have been instances where Christian parents have objected (on religious grounds) to the reading material given to their children but their voices have not been heard. Some children withdraw from important examinations rather than read what they believe is wrong. That takes some courage but they should never have been put in that position.

  9. Books are good, no matter what views are represented. However, fiction should be correctly labelled as such, and not sold as fact.

  10. That's what they did during The Inquisition.  These days, however, they limit themselves to placing disclaimer stickers on them

  11. I suppose you could hang your hat right next to Stalin and Hitler if you want.

  12. Books, all books, should be allowed to exist.

The Bible should not be Banned. It should just be reshelved in the Fiction section. Get your whines strait.
