If it's against the law for an adult to have s*x with a child, how is it that Palin's bf isn't in jail?

Here in town, a 17 yr old girl was romanticaly involved with two adults. They are both in jail under the charge of statutory rape and several other things that took place as is natural of any relationship of that sort. If this is the law, how is it that anyone can be an exception just because the girlfriend's mommy is running for VP?

amongst other things she voted for was  ,"the bridge to nowhere ".which like a "true politician" she has now changed her mind on .

So are all of you who are saying that she can't do the job VIRGINS? If not does that make your parents bad people or incapable of doing their jobs? For cripes sake people she is a mother who taught her daughter about the birds and the bees but you can't force your teen to practice abstinence or use birth control, you can only educate them and hope that they do the right thing. Just because she is a politician does that mean that she should put her children in Chasity belts? You need to get a clue, nobody id perfect.

They are of age. The sad part is they will have to undergo the scrutiny of the press and all of the bloggers and interested parties throughout the United States who have something to say about this situation.  Personally, I'm sorry it has happened.  No teen should have to deal with pregnancy at this age - she should be thinking about college and her future.  Unfortunately, I believe that parents have to bear the weight of this issue.  Why wasn't she taught better?  If she was sexually active - her mother should have made sure she was using protection.  If you know your parents are in politics and anything you do is under the spotlight - you have to be more than careful about anything and everything you do.  It's hard to hide when you are in the spotlight.  I'm not riding her or her situation, but I know that the Word of God says if you train a child up in the way he should go - when he is old, he will not depart from it.  There are plenty of young teens who are not sexually active.  I think it's bad for this woman to be possibly headed for the White House with a blemishh like this already on her plate.  It's only going to get worse.  The press is harsh and cruel...they will eat her for breakfast, lunch and dinner - whether we like to hear about it or not.  That's the way they live.

Most states have an age clause.  There can be two years difference.  It's legal for 16/18 and 17/19.
