Question:

If it's not fair to you why does your bank charge you anyway even if you still have the right amount of cash?

I've had at least over $100.00 in my checking account and the bank charges me $8.00 even if I don't spend my money. I've head my bank say that they'd charge me if I spent over $100.00 but now they are charging me $8.00 even if I keep over $100.00 in the bank. It's like they want me to never spend my money but yet they take it away from me little by little. Does that make any sense at all??? Seriously, Who's wrong on this whole idea, me or the bank?

  1. No bank charges a service charge for spending any particular amount, unless you over draw your account.  You are confused.  Please go back and speak with your bank to clarify.  Your account probably has an account min. to avoid a service charge of $8.00  Ask your bank about a free account option or change banks.

  2. Maybe it's just a maintenance fee. I suggest you find another bank, those terms you described seem ridiculous. A bank shouldn't charge you for spending over $100 without over drafting from your checking account.

  3. Sounds like you need a bank that offers free checking. Try UsBank, I have been with them for over 7 years now and they are great! The only time they charge you is if you bounce a check, but even then, they usually will refund the overdraft charges if you ask. Your bank taking 8.00 doesn't make sense. Have you asked them why?
