I'm asking about life in general; not necessarily just here at Y!A.

  1. i have something you don't know, you have something i didn't know. we have our own little experience of truth, helps us maintain living

  2. maybe we are the others

(well i do know i need help)

    nice q btw

  3. Well how it's supposed to work is that you provide your knowledge and the recipient is supposed to pass it down to the next, chain reaction.

  4. There's a saying "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours".  That is the opposite of crab mentality - help others, and they will help you, and together the both of you will progress on to greater things.

  5. We are ALL here to help each other. I help you and you help me.

Simple as that and so hard for people to understand and learn and yet wouldn't the world be much better off if we did?

  6. We always need someone in our lives sometimes.

  7. it's like a communication...there must be the receiver and the giver...most likely helping each other...if you are here to help each other then there must be someone that needs the help you can offer...

  8. About life,

God used me in many ways to help people in need. I never give myself the credit for amazing deeds done for people because my motives are pure. God does give back in return in some way, form or fashion.

    About YAP,

I am having fun here, some of my answers are sincere and down to earth and the other type of answers I give is for certain reasons.(wink)

  9. People would have different talents and different needs. We may be that eager to help someone but are we capable of helping? We may badly need help but does those around us could give us a good solution and are not in dire need of help?

It could be a chain reaction...but not everyone can join that chain. We may need to understand that individuals have different level of understanding. Those OTHERS may know something more than us that we can seek them when they are needed. Those OTHERS may know less than us that they may seek us when needed.

I have a friend who constantly reminds me of this...

Acts 20:35 --- In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

Its technically not a question of ...

'Why are the OTHERS here for?'

    but...

'Why am I here for OTHERS?'

    Hope this helps.

  10. they also have other people to help.

we are in a sort of "help web" (works like a food web).

ok. i just made that up.

but really, all of us do help each other.

cooperation is a thing that we need to survive.

  11. i am just addicted

  12. I believe so and we and others just have to find our position along the chain. WE are ALL links in the chain but we ALL need to learn exactly our roll (position) in life.THE CHAIN CAN HAVE NO MISSING LINKS !

  13. Waiting for our help! hehe

It's a chain reaction - you help others, others help others and so on until the chain reaches and ends with you in full circle.  That should have been the case when everyone holds out helping hands but somewhere along the line, one fails or ignores to extend a hand and the chain is broken.  And that would answer your question - "what exactly are the others here for?"  They cause to disrupt the smooth flow of the line either for personal reasons or lack of concern for others.  And this is not only here at Y!A but in life, too...in general.

  14. The others are there, walking among us, standing among us, sitting beside us, but it doesn't mean they don't have any effect on us. For example, I watched a movie this afternoon. I was alone at the deluxe area and I don't like being literally alone in a dark place. A little later, another girl sat at the other end of my row. I was comforted. Even if she was a stranger, her mere presence helped me enjoy the movie. We're only humans and we need help too, may it be from our freinds, family, or from "others". Each of us has a purpose for each and everyone and likewise.

  15. others are here to make more reasons for others to help us..

let's say the government, they are here to make our lives more miserable and then, there are non-government or advocacy groups that are willing to make our lives better by implementing various kinds of livelihood projects, etc, etc.

i tried to give a different attack, not more on the concept of "goodness" as the others explained but on a practical and typical scenario.

  16. Each one of us at some points in our life becomes either the savior or the one in need of saving.  We are here to help others but it does not mean that these other people will always be the one in need of our help.  Anyone who admits that s/he does not need any help from others is an arrogant fool and the one in dire need of saving.

Life basically employs the "Ripple Effect."  We are all interconnected individuals and it is through our association with others that our humanity is defined.
