  1. Definitely not! The only chance is that all of the polar ice melts and it still wouldnt be enough to cover the entire planet... Many of the earth could be under water but not all... There are many cities that are above 3000m of the sea level. The water may not reach them. Mountains like Everest or K2 also will stay dry. It is not possible! What is possible is that the world would become inhabitable place for many species including humans!

  2. it depends on how much rain there is and how long the clouds have been holding onto their water... but i would say even if it was raining buckets it would not be enough to cover the earth! enougfh to rauise sea level but not enough to cover us all!

  3. How hard will it be raining?

  4. no becuse the water cycle all the water the earth gets comes from the ocean so if it were to rain you would just be useing water that just came from the ocean. but some ppl disagree with me i dont understand if rain coms from ocean and ocean comes from rivers and rivers come from lakes and lakes come from mnts and mnts come from rain then how is water made so i think one day the earth is going to run out of water and we will all die....

  5. no

  6. yes it would be. but depending if it was raining hard or lightly would depend how much the earth was covered

  7. No I have been there done that.

  8. Probably, but maybe the tops of the mountains might now be under water yet.  It also depends on how hard it rains.

  9. It would depend on the intensity of the rainfall

  10. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE OF GOD'S COVENANT THAT HE WILL NEVER FLOOD THE EARTH AGAIN. HE SETS  THE  RAINBOW IN THE CLOUD TO REMEMBER THIS COVENANT.

SO THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS NO.

  11. No.  The Discovery Channel did a piece on this a while back and the volume of water required is more than is contained in all of the earth.  What may have happened was the much smaller 'world' was inundated with flood waters.

  12. No. Probably not even 100 days because where I live, we rarely rain and when we do, we get only like 3 inch floods

  13. Yes absolutly.. If it was heavy downpours... We have all seen the results of a single heavy downpour, Flash Floods causing Millions of Dollars in damages...Could you imagine 40 days and nights of that... New York would be under water in Two weeks alone...

  14. No, my fiance is a genius and he says it's not possible.  It would soak into the desert.

  15. no scientists found out that there is actually not enough water on earth for it to cover all land

  16. If it could somehow not rain for 40 days straight, would that be enough to starve the earth?

  17. Why not? It happened once before.

  18. probably not when you think about how much you'd need to reach the tip of mount everest

  19. It depends on how hard it rained, although theoretically it is possible.

  20. No, and there is no place for the water to come from.  It is an unscientific myth.
