If it is all one big illusion, why do so many people by it?

Racism has been disproved time and time again. For anybody to believe that an African American is inferior or stupid. There are bad people in our community--That is true. There are people who throw out the race card when it isn't due, and people who try to take handouts and victimize themselves.

However there are so many more of us that have also contributed to the world. (The blood transfusion, the traffic light, and even treats like peanut butter and ice cream were contributions made by the black community.)

Why does it continue to persist? What drives ignorance and makes it thrive?

  1. Well sometimes I feel as though people use the racism card when there is no need for it.  A lot of black people feel hard done by and also a lot of them are just as racist towards white people.

Anyone who is racist and feels any particular race are hard done by are idiots.  The people who are hard done by are people living in peverty stricken countires where they cannot get food or clean water and cannot live a healthy life - regardless of colour or race.

  2. Each new generation has the potential to carry on the opinions of past generations. If everyone wanted equality between races to be a reality, it would come, but unfortunatly, some people have racist parents and grandparents and think that it is normal and that they should continue that hatred. That is a part of the problem anyway.
