  1. You mean AUTO insurance companies right?  Because all the women here know we are being charged a h**l of a lot more for health insurance than most men.

But you are right, men did create most modern things.  However they would not be able to do it with out many women in their lives (and a probably a few men).  If you are truly appreciative of production and contribution to society....thank a teacher.  Not the inventor of ipods.

  2. "Actuarial tables" have been kept for 2 or 3 hundred years now. The first ones were on the the death rates of the insured. Now it is a science and covers anything you want it to cover. It's just numbers, and numbers don't lie. Men cost insurance companies more, so they pay more.

  3. Cassius, in short, discrimination against men in the modern era is considered acceptable.  Discrimination against women is deemed "wrongful."

This is the product of feminism in the modern era.

  4. Sorry, I misread your question.

It can be done on case by case basis what you are proposing

  5. I suppose that you need to see the long list of things WOMEN have invented and contributed...It's clear that you don't even like women.

    Time to come out.

  6. You've given a list of 5 things which women haven't created, yet you haven't got the wherewithall to look for ones they did?

Women are trillions behind men in productivity...yes and you are doing a lot by whinging on YA?

Again another uninsightful question by Cassius, not an actual debate but a childish rant of 'men are better than women yay!', how refreshing...

  7. Yes.  Insurance tables, actuarially composed, are legal.

  8. Actually, insurance companies don't "assume" this. They work it out from huge tables and some complicated maths, and charge accordingly. Other factors taken into account are the type (and colour) of the car and the length of time without a claim. All of these actually do have an effect of the probability of a claim being made.

However, gender does not have an affect on the performance at work (and therefore, money earned for company) so there is no basis for a discrimination based on gender in company pay. Experience and skills do - and so they are paid differently.

  9. Numbers do not have prejudices. Insurance companies base their rates off risk. The greater the risk, the higher the rate.
