2)  Alaska, at 1,538 miles.  But since you want the 48 contiguous states, it would be Michigan with 721 miles, folowed by Maine (611) , Minnesota (547) and Montana (545). These are obviously Land and water boundaries.

2. Montana is the longest western state with its border on the 49th parallel  (Though I suspect that Michigan has the longest  overall of the contiguous 48 with its freshwater border)
