  1. Because most Global Warming believers will blame anything on Global Warming.  They probably blame earthquakes on it.  It's nonsensical and hypocritical really.

  2. Thats funny, almost every person I see on this forum who tries to say that today's weather is an indicator for the presence or absence of AGW are the deniers.

  3. My respected fellow Doctor,

The illusion of perpetual "global warming" must be maintained.  This is why warming during spring, polar ice melts in the summer, a hurricane during hurricane season, a drought in a desert, or a flood in a flood plane must be highlighted and alarmed as an abnormal, unexplained event, that could only be caused by the errors of man's ways.

And the ones who fall for this ruse are just simple folk who are more concerned about raising their families, and succeeding in their work.  They don't have the time to research the data like we do.  If they see these sights on the nightly news, or The Weather Channel, they accept these reports as facts rather than marketing schemes to keep them glued to watching.  They know that disasters are good for ratings, so they over hype the story to an unsuspecting public.

Most of us know that the climate today is no different then the climate 50 years ago.  This is why 20 year olds are so quick to believe that things are different today - they have no sense of history.

  4. No.  I say look at the real data, and the five year average.

  5. because how can everything be terrible in the world if theres nothing to worry everyone about

  6. I can't remember saying either one of those things.  I've seen Bob, Dana, et al correct people a few billion times for saying either.  Maybe you should ask Jello or Cindy.

  7. You have to look at the long term trends not relatively small incidences. Climate scientists have already done this and are continuing to do so.

Almost all peer reviewed climatiologists agree that global warming is occuring and man is accelerating and magnifying its effect.

  8. That's funny after a winter of never ending, "how can there be global warming if it snowed today?" type questions. I would say those outnumbered your example by about ten to one.
