In my neck of the woods, we have what we labeled a "hummingbug"  It's smaller than a hummingbird (we have those, too) but very much resembles one in flight & actions. I came to find out later ir was actually a moth, called a "Hummingbird Moth." I believe that is what your yahoo search shows. As boys, we used to try to catch them in flight, but never succeeded, though.  I haven't seen any around in quite a while, though.

I have had many of these hummingbird moths at my garden, they are as graceful as the hummingbird.  Very friendly too.

God certainly has created many beautiful creatures

I am clueless on this one - I a cat person - so it is not good for me to be seen near birds - the cat gets jealous............. LOL

Nice. I feed the little guys.  Good thing they're so small, because they're really quite nasty. Trivia: Humming birds  are the only bird that cannot walk. It has no kneecaps.
