  1. My guess would be Fernando, Kimi, Robert, and Mark!

  2. Fernando imo

  3. how can anyone remember kimis performance at Fuji last year and not give him a nod, he was making passes on lines that didn't exist 10 laps earlier in the race

  4. Not Massa that's for sure.   I'd put my money on Alonso finishing strong if it starts to rain in Monaco.

  5. I think lewis will as he is the best driver in the field , kimmi is not bad so he will come second i think the rest will all  crash..well thats my prediction.

  6. DC and Trulli would do well. Both are very experienced drivers and capable of keeping their cool in rainy conditions. Alonso will also thrive in such conditions.

JB won the Hungarian GP in 2006 when it was pouring, so I guess he could pull off something similar if it rains in Monaco. And if Kimi is careful, he would definitely shine.

  7. Don't discount Gincarlo Fisichella in the wet, his 1st win at Brazil 03 was a wet, crazy race and his great qualifying effort at Australia 05 was a wet one!

  8. I'd have Trulli, Button, Coulthard and Alonso for 'surprise' podium finishes if it is a classic race of attrition. All are great stuff in the wet, credit where its due. Winning at Monaco is a skill in itself that all, save for Jenson, have mastered. Doing so in the wet is another matter entirely.

Personally, I cannot wait to see them sneaking round the first bend, pissing down with rain, no grip and relying on never forgotten Karting tricks! Whoopee!

    F1 Europe is FINALLY HERE!!!!

  9. As I answered to another question, I believe Sebastian Bourdais has the most experience of racing without driver aids and is used to more street racing due to his Champar experience. He could spring a suprise.

  10. "Surprise" drivers: Trulli & Coulthard. They may not be world-beaters, but they are both Monaco experts and experienced wet race drivers.

If Button had a car which was vaguely drivable then he'd be in the list, but he has enough trouble keeping it on the track in the dry, let alone in the wet.

Alonso will always be in contention in the wet as he's the best driver in F1 at the moment.

  11. jensen and DC

  12. Coulthard like the track and it is his home town,  not sure if his car or luck is up to it though.

  13. Kimi & Jens

  14. hmmm i would say alonso and kimi will shine like the stars =) (as in space !) loll

  15. Räikkönen.

..but if he had a better car (though it is getting better!), I'd say Webber.

  16. Alonso, Vettel and Webber.

Vettel and Webber were going well in Japan last year until dangerous driving by Hamilton took them out.

  17. I believe some of the usual suspects will do just as well, Lewis and certainly Kimi.

They will be joined by top class drivers in under performing cars such as Alonso and Button as well as rain specialists such as Fisichella(a longshot) and Barrichello.

    Perhaps Webbo too.

I have no clear picture as to the abilities of some of the rest like Kubica, Heidfeld ,Trully, Rosberg, kovalainen etc in the wet.

If it rains I will be watching Bourdais closely as well, I have no idea what he can do in the rain, I haven't watched his progress in the US, but he certainly has the experience and I rate him.

Kimi, Lewis, Button, are ultra smooth drivers and it will be more important than ever to be smooth.
