If it selfish to have a fling with someone that is falling for you?

Is it selfish to keep dating someone that is falling for you, if you already know that you won't date them in the long run?

My BF is this gorgous Brazilian guy that started out as a summer fling but now he's totally crazy about me and treats me like a princess. I love the attention and the time we spend together, but in the long-run it would never work out. Knowing this, is it selfish of me to keep seeing him?

Yes it is.  But no one is perfect, and sometimes you need to look out for number one.  HA, but seriously, no ones opinion on here matters, if you can sleep well at night, whether it be from pride of thinking you've done the right thing, or cuz you're just tuckered out from mind blowingly enjoyable *expletive deleted*, there is no right or wrong answer any of us can offer you.  Just ask yourself what you want to do.

not if you are up front with him about it.

or he doesn't look for long term options in you.

if you tell him (you might not want to say why, if the reason has to do with him or his cultural background) that you are not looking for a long term deal then that should be ok.

be upfront.

It has done to me several times and I think I would respect those guys more if they would have been direct.

because if you think you guys are not going to be together "forever" then well that means you're going to break up with him eventually and it's going to make him sad.. so, i guess you should think about him,
