...Name any five pitchers of all time who you absolutely unconditionally would NOT want pitching for your team during game 7 of the WS. I'm talking pitchers that would make you turn off the TV if you saw them step onto the mound. Pick five pitchers like that.

You can use all pitchers from the past, all current players, or a combination of both. Whatever you want.

  1. Clay Buchholz and the mets bullpen.

  2. ERIC GAGNE

    Byung-Hyun Kim

heart attacks waiting ot happen, and thats all i can think of right now...

  3. being a sox fan i would NOT want Clay Buchholz to pitch. i miss the guy who threw the no-no last year. i wonder what happened to him. another person would be Eric Gange, he has really sucked since the dodgers. I would also say Wang because of his pitching in the playoffs in horrible.

  4. Carl Pavano

    Kyle Farnsworth

    Armando Benitez

Sidney Ponson(although he's done ok for the Yanks lately)

    Kei Igawa.

  5. as a fellow Red Sox fan im sure you'll agree Clay Buchholz it seems like he cant get a win these days :(

  6. Steve Traschel

    Kip Wells

    Casey Fossum

    Mark Hendrickson

    Seth McClung

  7. Cha Seung Baek

    Cla Meredith

    Chien Ming Wang

    Brian Falkenborg

    Trevor Hoffman

Notice that most of them are from the Padres...

I'd add Kip Wells in there too

  8. Eric Gange

  9. i am going to name all current players

barry zito (even though he has pitched better as of late, his velocity is way down and he is not the same pitcher for the giants as he was for the athletics!)

jason jennings (i live in houston and when he pitched for the houston astros, i would never watch the games when he pitched)

    Steve Trachsel

Jared Washburn(the mariners should of never signed him)

Justin Verlander  (he is not the same pitcher i know that led his team to the world serious)

  10. i really only have 1 pitcher in mind...todd jones, closer for the detroit tigers

he is terrible and i cant stand him

  11.   Izzy, Gagne ,Franklin=  some  current losers

if game was on line it would be relief pithcers

  12. Nice question, Greta, but I assume you mean pitchers who would normally be considered a possibility for a 7th game assignment, not guys like Carl Pavano.

Of pitchers who have/had a decent career I would hate to see any of the following pitching in Game 7 for my team:

    - Kenny Rogers

    - Steve Blass

    - Trevor Hoffman

    - Calvin Schiraldi

    - Barry Zito

I'm sure there's many others, but they popped to mind first!

  13. Bucholz... I really wouldn't want him on the mound for game seven. It would be a blowout! Sorry can't think of anymore.

  14. 1-barry zito

    2-jarrod washburn

    3-darell rasner

    4-jamie burke(mariner joke haha)

    5-rick ankiel(wen he was a pitcher)

  15. 1. Eric Gagne 'why, brewers, why"

    2. Barry Zito

    3. Tom Gorzelanny

    4. Brett Tomko

    5. Rick Ankiel

  16. Kyle Farnsworth, Latroy Hawkins, Joe Borowski, Al Reyes, Jason Isringhausen. Bobby Howry, Jeff Fassero Antonio Alfonseca, Estaban Yan.

  17. Damian Moss

    Seth McClung

    Byung-Huyun Kim

    Jereme Bonderman

    Kyle Davies

  18. All of my guys are gonna be from the Rangers. *worst pitching staff in the Majors sniff sniff*

Joaquin Benoit (singlehandedly lost at least six games this year for us)

C.J. Wilson (can't handle the pressure of being a closer)

Kameron Loe (he's in the Minors right now for obvious reasons)

Luis Mendoza (he had his moments, but he didn't do well in pressured situations)

Frank Francisco (all he throws is fastballs; that's not gonna do him any good.  Like that game vs. the Red Sox where he gave up the three run homer to Youk)

    So, yeah.

I really miss Ron Mahay; I liked him a lot out of the bullpen.

Now I can basically depend on nobody in the bullpen.  No, scratch that. Eddie Guardado's been good, and Dustin Nippert has been excellent for long relief.

    But everyone else is struggling.

  19. 1. Kevin Gregg

    2. Brandon Lopper

    3. Scoot Olsen
