would you still act so blasé about the issue?

There have been so many abortion questions recently that it just got me thinking...would you still have an abortion if:

a) the baby could feel pain

b) you could verbally communicate with the baby

c) you could see the child's life in the future

I'm also sure many will argue that it's not a baby rather just a fœtus but forgive my political incorrectness =)

  1. im not blase at all....thats already been proven by videos Ive seen

THE BABY IS SCARED TO DEATH....LETS NOT ENCOURAGE young women to wuss out instead of spending nine months so someone else can live!! If they arent mature to keep the child, then let someone adopt it..

  2. It HAS BEEN proven.  Just because a child is in it's developmental stages doesn't mean there is no physical feelings.  Most abortions happen after the baby is formed.  I've seen pictures of aborted babies and there are ripped off limbs and torn up heads, little guts and blood.  It's horrible what women do to their innocents.  I say if a woman doesn't want to get pregnant either abstain or have surgery to remove her womb but don't make a baby pay for what YOU choose do to.  Have the child and put it up for adoption.  Don't murder it.  There is no such thing as an accidental pregnancy.

  3. the baby does feel pain! ppl are so evil its sickening!!!!!

  4. Being blase about another human being isn't in my make-up.

7 weeks pregnant with first child and being upset at one stage because I was frightened & didn't know what to do, I sat in the bathroom and cried.  Didn't know whether to have the baby or have an abortion that I was being pressured into having.

Had a sense all of a sudden of the baby(foetus) growing inside of me, and for some strange reason I knew that it was a boy and I knew that he needed protection, so I continued with pregnancy.  The boy now has just turned 10 years old.

    Corny but true.

  5. Thalamocortical connections do not occur until about 26 weeks into pregnancy, which are essential in the body's ability to feel pain. 99% of abortions occur before the 20th week. Therefore, the fetus does not feel pain in the overwhelming amount of circumstances.

  6. With partial-birth abortions, you really think they care?

  7. By 26 weeks the brain has only just begun to be properly formed and the total nervous system has not completed development. Even if the nervous system was developed, it would be difficult showing total pain consciousness, which seems highly unlikely with an underdeveloped brain.

All abortions take place way before this stage.

  8. a), b), c):

    Ya sure.  When pigs fly.

61.3% of all abortions are done when the embryo is under 9 weeks gestation.  Sorry to bore you with the lack of drama: no arms flying about, etc.

  9. If I could verbally communicate with a fetus, then I wouldn't abort it.

But along that same line of thinking...

If I could verbally communicate with a hamburger, then I wouldn't eat it.

  10. The only reason the fetus feels pain is because it is being killed...and because it is being killed, it doesn't matter that it is feeling pain because it will be over in like a minute.  That's my opinion, anyway.

  11. Hate to be the ***** actually no I think I quite enjoy it but they are already selfish s***s do you think they would care either way?

  12. Ya im still confused on where i stand personally about abortion..but im pro choice b/c its always a womens right to choose.
