If its a free country then why are people so judgmental when they should have the freedom to do the basics?

     Because they're human beings.  Everyone thinks he or she is 'right.'

Especially in religion and politics.  Bear in mind that a free country gives you the right to be judgmental, to speak your mind, to say and write what you wish.  I agree, people are judgmental, but when you think about it, it's all to the good.
